Coming from Dallas/Fort Worth via Canton (scenic route): This route takes you through downtown Canton and along the winding roads through east Texas piney woods. It's about 10 miles shorter and about the same travel time than the route below. We recommend this route if you're coming from the D/FW area. Take I-20 east to TX-64 in Canton. Head south on US-64 for about 45 miles and you will arrive in the heart of Tyler. Turn right (south) at S Glenwood Blvd (look for the TX-69 road sign) then left (east) at W Front St. Chilton Ave will be about a half mile on your right. Turn right (south) at S Chilton Ave. Memory Lane Inn is one block down on the right. Coming from Dallas/Fort Worth: This route keeps you on I-20 instead of cutting through Canton. It's about 10 miles longer and about the same travel time than the route above, but you are on the interstate during more of your trip (which means more gas stations, restaurants, etc). Take I-20 east to TX-69 in Tyler. Head south on US-69 for 8.6 miles and you will then you will arrive at N Glenwood Blvd (look for the TX-69 south sign). Turn right (south) at N Glenwood Blvd and continue for 1.2 miles. Turn left (east) at W Front St. Chilton Ave will be about a half mile on your right. Turn right (south) at S Chilton Ave. Memory Lane Inn is one block down on the right. Coming from Longview/Shreveport: Take I-20 west to US-271S (exit #571A). Continue on US-271S for 12.6 miles to E Front St. Turn right (west) on E Front St and continue for .5 miles until you arrive at S Chilton Ave. Turn left (south) onto S Chilton Ave. Memory Lane Inn is one block down on the right. Coming from Palestine: Take TX-155N out of town to Tyler. In Tyler, turn right (east) at W Glenwood Blvd (TX-64). Drive .5 miles until you arrive at S Chilton Ave. Turn left (north) onto Chilton Ave and continue for 1 mile. At Houston St, you will make a right then an immediate left to continue on Chilton. Memory Lane Inn will be on your left. |
